The new sanctuary was oriented perpendicular to the original sanctuary to announce to the public the continuing history of the church. In converting the old worship center to a fellowship hall, the interior character was preserved by maintaining defining finishes and detail and by relocating the kitchen activities out of the fellowship area but across the hall from the original sanctuary.
